The first AEROSUB workshop took place on 8th April 2025 in Viana do Castelo, right by the Lima River! The event, held both in-person and online, brought together the technological partners and key stakeholders, including Ocean Winds (OW) and WavEC Offshore Renewables (W+), to delve into the latest innovations in offshore wind technology and tackle the challenges of operational and maintenance (O&M) strategies.
The workshop served as a dynamic, collaborative forum, where participants had the opportunity to present their technological developments and discuss real-world O&M scenarios. The agenda focused on use cases proposed by end-users, ensuring that future demonstrations would be impactful and directly aligned with the practical needs of the industry.
This one-day session marked the first in a series of stakeholder workshops planned throughout the project, which will include two intermediate sessions and a final concluding workshop. By fostering strategic dialogue and focusing on end-user engagement, the AEROSUB project partners are paving the way for safer, smarter, and more efficient offshore operations.
