AEROSUB will participate in the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) 2026 conference, one of the leading international forums dedicated to the future of the offshore renewable energy sector. The event will bring together industry representatives, researchers, technology providers, policymakers and innovators to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the development, operation and maintenance of offshore energy assets.
As part of the event programme, André Alves Tooley, EU Funding Manager at KPMG, will deliver a presentation entitled:
“AEROSUB: How the European Commission is Helping to Transform Offshore Wind O&M with Robotics and AI”
The session will showcase how European funding programmes such as Horizon Europe are driving innovation in offshore wind operations and maintenance through the development of advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies.
Using AEROSUB as a case study, the presentation will explore how collaborative research and innovation projects contribute to the development, validation and future commercialisation of cutting-edge solutions for the offshore renewable energy sector. It will also highlight the pathway from project funding to technology exploitation, market uptake and long-term industrial impact.
AEROSUB is developing an integrated ecosystem of autonomous aerial, surface and underwater robotic systems, enhanced by AI and digital twin technologies, to support safer, more efficient and more sustainable offshore wind farm inspection and maintenance operations. These innovations have the potential to significantly reduce operational costs, minimise downtime and improve worker safety in challenging offshore environments.
The project looks forward to engaging with stakeholders across the offshore renewable energy community and contributing to discussions on the role of innovation in accelerating Europe’s energy transition.
