Partners USE and CATEC attended the 2025 International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (ICUAS ’25), held from 14 to 17 May in Corfu, Greece. The event brought together researchers, engineers, policy makers, and industry stakeholders from across the world to discuss the latest advances in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and related technologies.
About ICUAS: ICUAS is the annual flagship conference of the ICUAS Association, Inc., a non-profit organisation based in Colorado, USA, whose mission is to advance knowledge, education, and applied research in unmanned aviation. The conference is co-sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society and is one of the leading international venues for the UAS scientific and industrial community, covering topics from autonomous navigation and cooperative systems to regulatory frameworks and real-world applications. All proceedings are indexed on IEEE Xplore.
During the conference, representatives from both institutions had the opportunity to present technical results and developments achieved within the framework of the European Commission-funded project, contributing to the dissemination of the knowledge generated and strengthening the consortium’s visibility within the international scientific and technological community.
This participation forms part of the project’s dissemination and exploitation strategy, which aims to maximise the impact of the results achieved amongst specialist audiences. Beyond the formal presentations, the conference also offered a valuable setting for networking with peers, identifying potential collaborators, and gaining insight into the broader directions shaping the UAS research landscape in Europe and beyond.
This involvement further reinforces the consortium’s commitment to actively contributing to the advancement of the state of the art in unmanned aircraft systems, in line with the objectives and priorities set out under the European Union’s funding programme.
